Wendy’s considerable legal talents have been honed through time and her dedication to understanding and uncovering the nuances of the law and its effects in our daily lives. Wendy concentrates her practice in Estate Planning and Probate Matters, with a focus on the LGBT community to ensure that her clients' individual wishes are met and that their loved ones are protected to the fullest extent of the law.
Wendy’s practice areas also include a wide range of litigation services in Personal Injury and Insurance Defense, and Civil Trial Practice.
Wendy attended the Indiana Academy for Science, Mathematics and Humanities, going on to graduate from Indiana University with a double major in African-American Studies and Criminal Justice. Wendy graduated Cum Laude, and received her Juris Doctorate Degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. Wendy was admitted to practice before all courts in Indiana in 2000. Wendy is a member of the Indiana State and Lake County Bar Associations, the NGLA Legal Association, the National Center for Lesbian Rights, and PFLAG.
R. Timothy Fletcher, a LaPorte native, graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Indiana State University. While at Indiana State, Mr. Fletcher earned Dean’s list honors each semester and served as president of the Sociology Honors Society during his final year. Following his undergraduate studies, Mr. Fletcher worked in the manufacturing industry as a welder and forklift operator.
Mr. Fletcher then earned his law degree from Valparaiso University School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Fletcher served as a teaching assistant in the legal writing department and served on the Editorial Board of the Valparaiso University Law Review as an Associate Editor. Mr. Fletcher’s Note on the medical necessity defense was published in Volume 37 of the VULR.

Mr. Fletcher is a member of the Porter County, Lake County, and Indiana State Bar Associations, and is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Indiana and the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana.
Adept at negotiating and drafting complex contracts, including purchase agreements, sales contracts, employment agreements, software licenses, commercial leases, and distribution agreements, Stephen’s talents are invaluable to officers and directors of corporations and managers of limited liability companies to negotiate and execute agreements that will most benefit their company.
In addition to his legal practice, Stephen is the owner of several ongoing businesses in Indiana and understands the legal needs of local entrepreneurs who are building a business in Northwest Indiana and the greater Chicago-land area.
Stephen regularly assists clients in all aspects of the ownership, development and leasing of real property for retail, residential development, office, industrial and wholesale distribution purposes.
Stephen also regularly creates estate plans for both traditional and non-traditional families and single adults who wish to protect themselves, their loved ones, and their property to the full extent of the law. In addition to preparing clients’ estate plans, Stephen strongly encourages everyone to have the appropriate advanced directives prepared (including living wills, appointments of healthcare representatives, and powers of attorney) to protect in the event of an accident or medical emergency where one is unable to communicate or make such decisions for one's self.
Stephen is admitted to practice in both Indiana and Illinois. He received his Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, and earned his Bachelors of Science in Business Management and International Marketing from Purdue University, Krannert School of Management. Stephen was admitted to practice before all courts in Indiana in 2000, the United States Supreme Court in 2005, and before all courts in Illinois in 2006.
